Dressed to Impress with smooth, modern finish
Timberlink has become the first major Australian Sawmilling operation to achieve both the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and Responsible Wood/AFS environmental certifications.
Pine is one of the world’s most environmentally friendly building materials. Every cubic metre of kiln dried moulded pine removes 631 kg of greenhouse carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. All trees absorb carbon as they grow and continue to store the carbon once harvested. Wood, the ultimate renewable.
Timberlink Green comes with a 25 year guarantee, that is fully transferrable for the life Of the guarantee, For information see http://www.timberlinkaustralia.com.au/timberlink-green
Timberlink Green products are not classified hazardous by Safe Work Australia. We recommend, however, that you check with your local authority to determine the correct disposal methods. Treated timber products should never be used for composting or animal bedding and should never be burned.
When handling and cutting any timbers it is advisable to wear dust masks, goggles and gloves. Do not burn any treated timber. Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) are available from timberlinkaustralia.com.au
Check all timber delivered to site for brand markings on the face or end grain. If the timber does not bear brand markings (for example, if it has been pre-cut and assembled into frame or truss units prior to delivery) then you must ask your builder or supplier to obtain the brand details for the timber supplied.
Do not rip saw, dress or plane Timberlink Green down to significantly reduced dimensions as this may reduce or nullify the protection afforded.
From 2019 onwards, Timberlink Green will be Dressed All Round (DAR) across all states of Australia bringing a premium, smooth finish that is faster and easier to paint. Timberlink Green’s DAR finish will help to create an outdoor room that any home owner will be proud to entertain in. We don’t stop there…
Timberlink Green now also uses a lighter pigment, that gives a more natural looking piece of timber. The new consistent and light colour results in a superior finish that can easily be stained or painted.
And of course with our Low Odor LOSP, Timberlink Green timber smells better than traditional treatments and stays straight. Always ask for Timberlink Green.
Timberlink Green is plantation pine that has been treated with Low Odour LOSP (Light Organic Solvent Preservative) to provide protection against fungal and insect attack.
Perfect for external, above ground applications, Timberlink Green has always been the premium outdoor choice with our low odour LOSP treatment and visual override – and now it is dressed to impress.
Timberlink Green is treated with Light Organic Solvent Preservative (LOSP), a highly effective preservative treatment used to protect wood for use in external, above-ground applications. The active fungicidal and insecticidal ingredients are carried in organic solvents, not water, so redrying is not required after treatment. Because LOSP treatment puts the timber under less stress during production, it is less likely to move out of shape, retaining its dimensional stability.
All Timberlink structural timber is produced under a system compliant with ASI 748.1:2011 that ensures that the structural properties of MGPIO all exceed the requirements of both MGPIO and F7 grades as specified in ASI 720.1:2010. Where a design compliant with ASI 720.1:2010 specifies the use of F7 grade timber, Timberlink Australia’s MGPIO products, including Timberlink Green MGPIO, can be safely substituted.
In addition to our structural grading requirements, Timberlink Green has a manual visual override and the smooth finish is easy to handle and looks great.
So, as well as being structurally graded the smooth finish is easy to handle and looks great.
Timberlink Green is treated to an H3 level and is structurally graded. As an H3 product it is suitable for external, above ground (>150mm above finished ground level) load bearing applications, such as deck substructures, pergolas and carports.
Timberlink Green includes compounds that are designed to assist the product resist water penetration, and is therefore suitable for internal framing in wet areas, such as bathrooms.
Timberlink Green is made from Australian nd New Zealand renewable Plantation Pine.
All end cuts, rebates and notches must be resealed with a suitable “in-can” wood preservative such as TanalisedS Enseal Clear or TanalisedS Ecoseal.
Failure to re-seal such exposed surfaces may void this limited warranty.
Hot dip galvanised or stainless steel corrosion resistant fasteners, fixings and connectors are recommended for use with Timberlink Green.
Timberlink strongly recommends that all treated timber used in external applications be painted, stained or sealed with a premium quality exterior paint or timber stain to maintain optimum serviceability, appearance and dimensional stability.
Always check the label to ensure the product is suitable for use on treated timber, and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Timberlink Green is treated with Light Organic Solvent Preservative (LOSP), a non-CCA treatment that is approved for use by AVPMA and is compliant with the Australian Standard for treatment AS1604
This treatment offers all of the benefits of LOSP without the strong solvent odour of traditional LOSP formulas. The patented Low Odour formulation uses a proprietary component that has up to 30 times less odour – providing improved health and safety and environmental attributes compared to traditional formulations.
